George Michael plans to quit touring

London (ANI): English singer George Michael has hinted at quitting touring by announcing what are being billed as his "last arena shows in the UK." The singer announced that he would hold two major concerts in London to mark the end of his 25 Live Tour, and also said he does not intend to tour again. Michael, whose tour will also take him to North America this summer, will be finishing the trip in London on 24 and 25 August, and he has labelled the dates at Earl's Court in August "The Final Two". The show is similar to the last 'Wham!' concert 'The Final' that was held at the Wembley Stadium with Andrew Ridgeley in 1986. His 25 Live Tour had begun in Barcelona in 2006, and it has so far played to more than 1.3 million fans across Europe. "These very special shows will naturally feature Michael's hits, some tracks not previously performed in Britain, and a stunning new stage set," BBC quoted a statement on his website as saying.
